35.00/hour -Students receive one-on-one instruction in subject and medium of choice. Private lessons are great for beginners to learn the basics and to become comfortable with a new activity. Supplies extra.
25.00/hour – 2-3 students learn together – friends, siblings or family sharing art classes. Supplies extra.
Tuesday evenings 7-9:00 and Wednesday afternoons 1-3:00
35.00/2 hour session or $120.00 monthly. In a relaxed atmosphere, students work independently on a subject and medium of choice, with guidance. For beginners, it is recommended that a few private lessons be scheduled before joining the Open Studios.
Youth Drawing & Painting:
Thursdays, 6:30-8:00 pm. Sept. 12 – Dec. 19
15 lessons prepaid $450.00 – Occasional lessons – $40.00 Supplies included. Students 12-15 yrs., learn drawing and painting skills with a subject and medium of choice. Students can choose watercolour, acrylics, soft pastels or pencil, learning the elements of design and techniques of the medium.
Mondays, 4:30-6:00 Oct. 07 – Nov.18 (no lesson Oct. 14) For students 8-11 yrs. 6 workshops $150.00 Supplies included Children will explore a variety of art materials, learning about technique, application and effective colour combinations.
Elements of Design & Colour Theory
Fridays, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Oct. 11 – Nov. 29. 8 workshops $200.00 (supplies extra) Students will study the elements of design along with colour theory to further enhance their painting skills.
Artist in the Classroom
Artist in the Classroom is an enriched learning experience with a professional artist working in the classroom to collaboratively engage students in arts activities that are linked to educational outcomes in any curriculum K-12.
Taimi is a professional artist / art instructor with many years of experience teaching art to children, teens and adults. She independently teaches from her art studio, at the local Seniors Centre and currently at an elementary school in a Special Needs classroom.
Artist in the Classroom provide opportunities for:
• Workshops for teachers – Art instruction to build skills and explore innovative ways to inspire creativity
• Short-term Projects – Projects that connect to curriculum with themes or topics
• Year-long Projects – Long term projects that engage students in weekly art activities to explore art mediums, technique and application.
Prices vary with each project because of materials, preparation & clean-up time and number of students.

At the Senior’s Centre:
Taimi teaches art classes at the Bay St. Senior’s Centre Friday mornings. 6 wk courses in Watercolour, Acrylics, Landscape Painting and Pastels are offered throughout the year. Call the Senior’s Centre to inquire about their schedule or email: email@example.com
